Jugular vein
“And indeed We have created man, and We know whatever thoughts his inner self develops, and We are closer to him than (his) jugular vein.” (Quran 50:16)
He is closer than our jugular vein. Why the jugular? What is so striking about this part of us? The jugular vein is the most important vein that brings blood to the heart. If severed, we die almost immediately. It is literally our lifeline. But Allah (swt) is closer. Allah (swt) is closer than our own life, than our own Self, than our own nafs. And He is closer than the most important pathway to our heart.

Naturens mirakler
Everything is deeply connected. If you want to experience Allah more go sit in nature. Be with the plants, the trees, the stars, mountains and seas. Play with the animals look at the birds flying. Contemplating the intricate perfection by which Allah has created everything and everyone. Breathe in the salty air of the ocean, feel the soft sand of the desert, smell a fragrant flower. Be with the creation with mindfulness and presence. This earth is dying to tell you about Allah. It’s bursting at the seams to blossom the truth and offer you the fruits of God’s creativity and love. Place your head in prostration upon the the earth like a seed seeping passed the dirt. Let the humility of the Earth cover you. Because only once you seedling heart is embraced with the soul of humility can you be broken from the shell of pride and sprout into who Allah created you to be. Let go and let God help you groooow the spiritual fruits of your soul 🌱🌿🌴

Å leve som en reisende
Live in this life as if you where a stranger or a traveler
- Prophet Muhammed (pbuh)
"Aim to live in this world without allowing the world to live inside of you, because when a boat sits on water, it sails perfectly, but when water enters inside the boat, it sinks"
- Iman Ali
When we first experience this world (dunya), we become so impressed by its’ glitter. So we love it. Then once the glitter falls away, we become disappointed, so we hate it. Eventually we grow up further and begin to see, and interact with, dunya for what it really is: Something we need not hate--nor love. Just something we need to *use*. Allah describes dunya as a 'mata'a'. Among other meanings, 'mata'a' is a resource, a tool. A tool is what you make of it. It can help you--or it can kill you. Dunya is simply the bridge you must cross to take you back Home. Who gets attached to a bridge? Don't miss the point by either loving or hating it. The focus isn't the bridge. The focus is what's on the other side!
